Last Friday, Gymleco, Pangir and Northpower broke ground in Eskilstuna. The premises will become Gymleco's new logistics center and are planned to be ready in November 2022.
Gymleco is today the largest producer of gym equipment in Northern Europe. Pangir develops and manages sustainable logistics properties in locations close to the city. Northpower is a manufacturer of industrial halls and has, among other things, previously built several premises in the Jordbro and Albyberg industrial areas.
"We have had enormous demand for our gym equipment both internationally and from Sweden, so we are so happy to be able to take this first step in the construction! This will mean that we can increase our warehouse and production capacity and strengthen our deliveries and service towards our dealers in northern Europe. This, in turn, will give us the conditions to reach a turnover of over SEK 300 million." says Monica Sotkasiira, CEO at Gymleco.
"We are now starting construction in Eskilstuna Logistikpark and shortly we will be welcoming Gymleco to our newly built property." says Axel Skytting, Project Developer at Pangir.
"Yes, finally getting to start on Monday is extremely fun. Then we start with establishment and the land contractor comes on site. Then we start excavating the hall and preparing for the plinth base which will arrive in a few weeks. After that, the assembly of the steel hall itself starts.” says Jane Vestin, Project Manager at Northpower.
The cooperation between the companies already started last year when the planning of the logistics center started.
"We have great faith in this team. We have a very good relationship with Axel at Pangir and Northpower has previously built our premises in Jordbro. It feels safe to have them as partners in this project.” says Monica.
"It's great fun working with Axel from Pangir and Monica and Kari from Gymleco. Together, we will create a fantastic, fine steel hall that Gymleco will enjoy for many years." says Sunny Sharma, Sales Manager at Northpower.
"We are happy to develop a modern logistics property with a focus on both storage and production in one of Sweden's best logistics locations together with Northpower and Gymleco. Gymleco is a fast-growing company in an exciting industry, we look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration." says Axel.
Gymleco will be sharing the construction process on their social media throughout the year. Follow them on Youtube and Instagram so you don't miss a thing.
